Toner Rocks!
June 30th, 2010 § 3 Comments
I recently read a blurb in Marie Claire Magazine where a dermatologist said that facial toner is a waste of money. She based this statement on a fact that toner was originally designed to remove left over cleanser and the new cleanser formulations do not leave a filmy residue.
I beg to differ!! While it is true that past formulations of cleansers did leave behind a filmy residue, and newer formulations do not. Here are 3 excellent reasons to use a facial toner.
1) It will remove makeup that you might have missed while washing, specifically if you wear foundation and blend up to your hairline. Running a cotton pad of toner along your hairline will certainly grab that foundation you missed while washing.
2) Our Grace & Pepper Calming Toner prepares your face for the next step in your routine, which should be a quality moisturizer. The Lavender and Chamomile essential oil will calm your senses and help to relax your pores. Plus it’s great if you want a mid day re-fresher to get rid of a mild oil buildup, or a mini cleanse before freshening up your makeup after the office but before cocktails.
3) It’s good practice to have at a minimum 3 step routine. Cleanse, Tone, Moisturize.
